Hi there. I’m Seth.
For more than 20 years, I’ve been working in Seattle-based startups. For most of that time, I’ve co-founded and grown two of my own companies, Rival IQ and V2Green. Through that leadership, I’ve had the privilege of getting to learn about what I want from life and what motivates and inspires other people.
At present, I am one half of We Are Seth, a two-person consultancy I started with my Rival IQ and V2Green co-founder, Seth Pollack.
In early 2024, I moved on from Rival IQ after 12 years of co-founding, growing, and selling the business. It was an incredible journey, and I was lucky enough to work with a collaborative, supportive group of teammates and co-founders (shout out to Seth Pollack, John Clark, and T.A. McCann).
Since leaving Rival IQ, I’ve had time to fill my life with plenty of elaborate home-cooked meals, snowboarding at Crystal Mountain, hiking, biking, and travel with my wife, Julie Letchner, and our three boys.
In a previous life, I started V2Green, an EV smart-charging technology company. I got to play with cars and electronics everyday, and it was really a ton of fun. Read about our 2008 acquisition by Gridpoint here.
In the even more distant past, I earned a PhD from CSE at the University of Washington in 2006 building silicon imagers that could perform massively parallel dimensionality reduction in low-power analog circuity. If you think this has nothing to do with the more recent work I’ve done on analytics for social media and digital marketing, you’d be right.
